Abstract:Objective：To explore the application effect of the PDCA cycle in improving the implementation qualification rate of the three-level physician ward round system，and to provide practical basis for the implementation of the eighteen medical quality and safety core systems in hospitals. Methods：The special inspection data of three-level physician ward rounds in a certain grade A tertiary hospital in 2022（before PDCA implementation）and 2023（after PDCA implementation）were selected. Through the four-stage closed-loop management of planning，implementation，inspection and handling，the qualification rate of ward rounds and the incidence of problems before and after implementation were compared. Results：After the implementation，the qualification rate of three-level physician ward rounds increased from 95.88% to 96.35%，and the total incidence of problems decreased from 5.47% to 2.88%，with statistically significant differences（P < 0.05）. Conclusion：The PDCA cycle can effectively standardize the ward round behavior of three-level physicians，accurately implement the requirements of medical administration and management，and improve the level of medical quality and safety management.
