Abstract:The patient’s right to informed consent is not only one of the core principles of medical ethics，but also an important embodiment of the human rights，dignity and well-being of the individual. Respecting patients’ right to informed consent is not only the basis for good doctor-patient communication，but also an important means to prevent medical disputes and improve medical quality and service satisfaction. This paper focuses on the current close integration of medical ethics and medical practice，conducts a systematic study on patients’ right to informed consent，and aims to reveal its far-reaching significance in protecting patients’ autonomy，promoting the harmony of doctor-patient relationship，improving the quality of medical services and promoting the harmonious development of doctor-patient relationship through an in-depth analysis of its substantive connotation，challenges and countermeasures in current practice.
