Abstract:Objective：To explore the current status of discharge readiness of patients undergoing radical esophageal cancer resection and to analyze its influencing factors，so as to provide reference for the discharge preparation of esophageal cancer patients. Methods：From October 2021 to December 2022，80 patients undergoing radical esophageal cancer resection admitted to our hospital were selected as the study subjects，and the general data questionnaire and discharge readiness scale were used to evaluate the current status of discharge readiness and its influencing factors on the day before discharge. Results：The results showed that the total score of discharge readiness was 85.84±11.63 points. Univariate and multiple linear regression analysis showed that age，education level，pathological stage，and caregiver education level were independent risk factors for hospital readiness for discharge（P < 0.05）. Conclusions：The discharge readiness of patients after radical esophageal cancer surgery is currently at a medium level，and the patient’s discharge readiness is relatively low if the patient is older，has low education level，high pathological classification and low caregiver education level.
