Abstract:Objective：To explore the application effect of FOCUS-PDCA in improving the quality of environmental cleaning and disinfection in neonataldepartment. Methods：The environmental cleaning and disinfection quality from July to September 2021 was taken as the control group，and the environmental cleaning and disinfection quality from October to December 2021，from January to March 2022，and from April to June 2022 were taken as the observation group. Use FOCUS-PDCA to revise relevant system process，carry out targeted training，strengthen supervision and intervention and other cycle management. The quality of environmental cleaning and disinfection and the incidence of nosocomial infection were compared between the two groups. Results：The effective fluorescence label clearance rate increased from 55.56% in thethird quarter of 2021 to 94.55 in the second quarter of 2022，χ2 trend value=48.664，P < 0.001. The qualified rate of surface disinfection increased from 80.95% to 100%，reaching the target（100%），χ2 trend value=14.715，P < 0.005，the difference was statistically significant. After the intervention，the incidence of nosocomial infection showed a decreasing trend in the fourth quarter of 2021，the first quarter of 2022 and the second quarter of 2022，χ2 trend value=1255.921，P < 0.05，the difference was statistically significant. Conclusion：The FOCUS-PDCA cycle management，training，supervision and intervention can improve the environmental cleaning and disinfection quality of neonatal department and reduce the risk of nosocomial infection.
