Abstract:Objective：Through the characteristics of the applicants of the charitable medical assistance project in R Hospital of Jiangsu Province in recent two years，to review the achievements of the practice，and to provide reference for further improving the implementation of charitable medical assistance. Methods：A retrospective study was conducted to analyze the patients who applied for charitable medical assistance in R Hospital of Jiangsu Province from March 2020 to March 2022. Results：According to the needs of the patients with economic difficulties and corresponding to the charity medical assistance project in the implementation of the process of oversupply，supply and demand mismatch phenomenon. The rapid turnover rate of the hospital，the limitation of the diseases of charity medical assistance，the complexity of the application process and the applicant’s sense of economic needs are the main reasons for the failure of the applicant’s approval. Conclusion：Charitable medical assistance projects should strengthen the examination of medical assistance applications and clarify the application conditions. External publicity should be clear and effective，and achieve information symmetry. At the same time，it is also necessary to adjust the application method according to the actual situation to help those who really need it.
