Abstract:Objective：To investigate the factors influencing the hospitalization cost of psoriasis patients within a dermatology specialized hospital and their relationship paths，so as to provide a theoretical and practical basis for scientifically controlling the hospitalization cost of psoriasis patients and reducing their economic burden of disease. Method：All inpatient case data of inpatients discharged with the first diagnosis of psoriasis from a certainlarge tertiary dermatology specialty hospital in Guangdong Province from 2015 to 2019 were collected for descriptive analysis，and the influencing factors were investigated by means of through-path analysis. Result：Whether or not medical insurance，case typing，and days of hospitalization directly affected total costs，and the effect sizes were in the order of days of hospitalization，whether or not medical insurance，and case typing；age，whether or not medical insurance，whether or not comorbidities，whether or not surgery，whether or not hospitalization，whether or not rehospitalization within a month，whether or not antimicrobial drugs were used，case typing，and whether or not clinical pathways could indirectly affect total patient costs by acting on days of hospitalization. Conclusion：The rationalization of controlling the hospitalization cost of psoriasis patients should strengthen the intervention of influencing factors such as the number of days of patients’ hospitalization，whether they are medically insured or not，and case typing without affecting medical quality，so as to achieve the effect of comprehensive management and scientific control of hospitalization cost，minimize the economic burden of psoriasis patients’ diseases and improve people’s livelihood.
