Abstract:Objective：To evaluate the value of the Checklist for early recognition and treatment of acute illness in Department of intensive Medicine sepsis patients. Methods：Comparing the general data before and after the introduction of Checklist for early recognition and treatment of acute illness（CERTAIN）in the Department of intensive Medicine of the first affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University. 102 cases of sepsis patients who received routine rounds，and 116 cases of sepsis patients who received rounds of CERTAIN. Results：General data（P>0.05）of the two groups showed no significant difference. After the use of Certain，either central venous catheter use time，insulin use time and sedation time were significantly lower than before Certain use. The level of teamwork had improved significantly，but there was no difference ICU mortality between the two groups. Conclusions：After Checklist for early recognition and treatment of acute illness，it reduced time of central venous catheter use，insulin use time and sedation time，but there was no significant difference in prognosis. Overall，Checklist for early recognition and treatment of acute illness was an effective auxiliary tool for the daily rounds of Intensive Care Unit.
