Abstract:Objective：Investigating and analyzing the current situation of infectious disease cityhospitals in Jiangsu Province，and to provide basis in formulating health policies for relevant departments. Methods：A questionnaire survey was used to investigate the scale，talent team，business volume，equipment，and discipline construction of the 12 infectious disease hospitals in the province，and conducting statistical analysis. Results：There are 11 tertiary infectious disease hospitals and 1 second-level infectious disease hospital in Jiangsu Province 13 Prefecture-level city，with an average area of 166.1 acres，an average of 605.5 beds，average of only 0.96 beds per 10 000 population.Eight hospitals have set up intensive medicine departments and negative pressure wards. There are a total of 2，001 licensed physicians and 3 440 nurses in the province，with an average medical care ratio of 1∶1.77. There are fewer full-time hospital staff，and 4 hospitals do not have MRI equipment. The average daily outpatient volume is 3，732 person-times.Annual discharge73，780person-times.5 hospitals had an annual bed utilization rate of over 90%. Conclusion：The infrastructural construction of infectious disease hospitals in Jiangsu Province is still incomplete. The ability to deal with major epidemic situations is insufficient，and the construction of talent teams is not perfect. In the health development plan，more policy support is needed to improve the level of treatment and achieve sustainable development.
