Abstract:Objective：To understand the dietary behavior and health status of medical staff in a children’s hospital，and to provide theoretical support for nutrition and health education and management in the hospital. Method：A questionnaire survey was conducted among the medical staff of the certain children’s hospital to understand their eating behaviors and health status. Result：Among the medical staff ofthe children’s hospital，13.5%were emaciated，14.8%were overweight or obese. There were significant differences in gender and age，position，job title，education（P < 0.05）. Moreolder people and seniorjob title staff suffered from basic diseases，and doctors have more basic diseases than other jobs. There were93.1%medical staffswho ate three meals a day and6.9% staffs ate twice a day. There were 51.5% medical staffswho missed meals 1-3 times per week due to work，and 20.6% staffs who missed meals more than 3 times per week due to work. Only 69 medical staffs（11.3%）said theydid not eat out. There were significant differences in age，gender and other aspects of external food consumption（P < 0.05）. Conclusion：The health status of pediatric medical staff is more vulnerable and more medical staff have poor eating behaviors. Health education and management of medical personnel should be strengthened to improve their health conditions.
