Abstract:Objective：To explore the development status of Internet hospitals under public health emergency and to promote the development of Internet hospitals. Methods：Based on the PEST model，the current situation of an Internet hospital in a certain public hospital in Nanjing was analyzed from the four external environmental factors：politics，economy，society and technology. Results：Under the influence of this public health emergency，politics，economy and technology aspects have favorable factors to promote the development of Internet hospitals in China. However，due to the impact of the comprehensive social environment，the development of Internet hospitals still has limitations. Conclusions：Three suggestions are put forward for public hospitals to promote the efficient development of Internet hospital services in the future during this outbreak prevention and control period. Options for improving the use of Internet hospital services by patients with chronic diseases need further discussion.
