Abstract:Objective：To analyze the factors related to the effect of the pediatric advanced life-support（PALS）training and also to explore how to improve the efficacy of PALS training under the current frame. Methods：570 pediatricians from the primary hospitals in Guangzhou participated inthe PALS training. The “Handbook of Emergency Cardiovascular Care for Healthcare Providers” was used as the training material. The scene simulation-based teaching was used to reinforce skills proficiency. The examination of both knowledge and skills was conducted after the training. The results of examination and related factors were analyzed. Results：After training，the general proportion of eligible was 73.16%. The proportions of eligible were higher among pediatricians with senior titles，longer working experience and higher education level，compared with their counterparts respectively. Pediatricians from hospitals located in the area B，working in the first level hospitals and working in the PICU had also higher proportions of eligible compared with their counterparts respectively. Moreover，pediatricians who have participated in the PALS training during the last three years had higher proportion of eligible than those who haven’t participated in any training before. However，no difference has reached the significant level. Conclusion：The scene simulation-based PALS training is appropriate for pediatricians from primary hospitals and the regular training is suggested to be conducted in the primary hospitals.
