Abstract:Purpose：To understand the current situation of psychological problems among medical students and analyse its influencing factors，in order to provide reference for the development of targeted interventions. Methods：A random sampling method was used to select 691 college students from a certain medical college in Jiangsu Province as the study subjects. A general information questionnaire and the Chinese version of the Beck Suicidal Ideation Scale were used to conduct a questionnaire survey，and the results were analysed. Results：Some students have serious psychological problems，and the differences in the detection rates of gender，whether or not they had received mental health services，interpersonal relationship status，academic performance，family upbringing style，and family harmony were statistically significant（P < 0.05）. The mean score of the scale for medical students with commit suicidal ideation was 8.27±5.13，and the differences in commit suicidal ideation scores among the variables of the presence of chronic diseases，whether or not they had received mental health services，whether or not their families of origin were intact，and family harmony situation were statistically significant（P < 0.05）. Bicategorical logistic regression analysis showed that gender，whether they had received mental health services，relationship status，and family harmony situation were risk factors for commit suicidal ideation among medical students. Multiple linear regression analyses showed that gender，whether or not they had received mental health services，relationship status，and family harmony were associated with the scores of commit suicidal ideation among medical students. Conclusion：The detection rate of suicidal ideation among medical students is high，and educators in colleges and universities should pay attention to this issue，develop appropriate educational strategies from different influencing factors，and carry out positive psychological interventions to address the risk factors.
