Abstract:Objective：To evaluate and analyze the construction of obstetrics department by using DRGs management index，and to provide data support for the development of the department. Methods：Through the analysis of the change of the data of DRGs management indicators（enrollment rate，number of groups，total weight，CMI value，time consumption index，cost consumption index，etc.），the construction of obstetrics department in acertain tertiarygrade A maternal and child health hospital in recent four years was evaluated and analyzed. Results：The enrollment rate of obstetric cases increased for four consecutive years，from 99.1% in 2019 to 100% in January-November 2022. The disease types of obstetrics cover more comprehensive，covering all the disease groups of the profession，there is no missing disease group. The total output of medical services increased significantly，and the total weight increased from 11，311.77 in 2019 to 12，055.29 in January-November 2022. “Time consumption index” and “cost consumption index”，which reflect the efficiency of the department，show an increasing trend. The average CMI value of technical difficulty in the department showed a downward trend. Conclusion：Using the DRGs management tool to conduct a comprehensive，standard and detailed evaluation on the construction of the specialty，it avoids the interference of human factors in the previous on-site evaluation，saves the cost，and makes the evaluation result more scientific and reasonable. The mining and analysis of DRGs data is conducive to finding the node of the problem，accurately solving it，and providing data support for strengthening the construction of the department.
