Abstract:Objective：To evaluate the effect of phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation in day surgery for senile cataract in a certain hospital，provide data basis for the promotion of day surgery. Methods：The first page data of inpatient medical records of senile cataract phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation in 2021 were collected from the medical record management system of a certainhospital，SPSS25.0 software was used to statistically analyze the treatment outcome，hospitalization day and hospitalization cost between the day surgery group and the general surgery group. Results：The cure rate of day surgery group was 95.45%，and that of general surgery group was 89.87%；the average hospitalization day was 1.84 with standard deviation 0.6 in the day surgery group and 3.62 with standard deviation 1.35 in the general surgery group.The average total hospitalization cost was 5，178 with standard deviation 1，327 in the day surgery group and 5，630 with standard deviation 1，320 in the general surgery group.The above differences were statistically significant（P < 0.05）. Conclusion：Day surgery for phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation in senile cataract has the advantages of good treatment outcome，short hospitalization time and low hospitalization cost，it is worth popularizing and trying multidisciplinary application.
