Abstract:Objective：To analyze the composition and distribution of patients who died of malignant tumor in a certainhospital，in order to provide reference for the prevention and treatment of malignant tumor. Methods：The death cases of malignant tumor from 2016 to 2021 were collected，and the characteristics such as different years，gender，age，and the order of death cause were analyzed. Results：A total of 854 patients died of malignant tumors from 2016 to 2021 and the case fatality rate showed a decreasing trend year by year. The top five malignant tumor cause of death were：lung cancer（23.89%），gastric cancer（11.48%），leukemia（8.90%），pancreas cancer（7.38%），liver and intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma（7.03%）. The case fatality rate of male was significantly higher than female（χ2=27.885，P < 0.001）. The ratio of death cases of malignant tumor in male patients to female was 2.12∶1. The number of cancer deaths increased with age increased，reaching a peak after the age of 65. Conclusion：Relevant departments should focus on strengthening the monitoring of cancers such as lung cancer and gastric cancer，focus on monitoring the elderly population，and adopt various methods to improve the level of diagnosis and treatment，then prolong the survival period of patients，and reduce case fatality rate of malignant tumors.
