Abstract:Objective To investigate the psychological state of different gender nurses in grade Atertiary hospitalfor comparative analysis，and to provide reference for clinical intervention of nursing managers. Methods：Using convenient sampling method，a sample of 1，221 nurses from 6 tertiary grade A tertiary hospitals in Wuxi City，including 61 male nurses and 1，160 female nurses. The general well-being scale，the nurse job stressors scale，mental toughness scale，nurses job satisfaction scalewere used to investigate. Results：There was no statistical difference in the general happiness and mental toughness of nurses of different genders，but the occupational stress of male nurses was higher than that of female nurses（P=0.027），and the job satisfaction of male nurses was lower than that of female nurses（P=0.044）. Conclusion：Male nurses had higher work stress than female nurses. Their job satisfaction is not high. Nursing managers should take effective measures against male nurses’ job stressors and the main factors affecting job satisfactionto fully mobilize the work enthusiasm of male nurses，improve the job satisfaction of male nurses and maintain the stability of male nursing team.
