Abstract:Objective：To understand the characteristics of the disease composition of the patients admitted to acertaingrade-A tertiary hospital in Wuhan，so as to provide reference for improving the level of medical service management in the construction of clinical specialties and the prevention and treatment of key diseases. Methods：Collect the first page of medical records of all inpatients in the three years from January 1，2017 to December 31，2019，based on the main diagnosis in the discharge diagnosis，and use the Pareto analysis method to sort. Results：The hospital has a total of 823，668 inpatients in three years，405，478 males and 418，290 females，with a male-to-female ratio of 0.97∶1，there are 318，299 people in the 40-59 age group，accounting for 38.6% of the total number.Among them，factors affecting health status and contact with health care institutions，tumors，circulatory system diseases and other top 8 diseases accounted for 77.88% of the total，which are category A factors and are the main types of diseases admitted to the hospital.The distribution and ranking of the types of diseases in each age group are different. Among them，the number of patients with respiratory diseases in the 0-19 age group accounts for 26.93% of the total number of age patients. Conclusion：Factors affecting health status and contact with health care institutions and diseases of the tumor system ranked first and second，accounting for 22.57% and 14.46%，shows that the number of cancer patients has been increasing in recent years.Circulatory system diseases ranked third in this disease composition.The diagnosis，treatment and nursing of these diseases should be the focus of this hospital’s clinical work. The health administrative departments and other institutions should work together with the hospital to increase thepropaganda of prevention and treatment of key diseases，to improve the health of residents.
