Abstract: |
Objective:To explore the influence of community urbanization on 4-week prevalence of urban and rural residents in China. Methods:Based on the data of CHNS from 1991 to 2015,multilevel regression model was adopted for analysis. Results:The higher the urbanization index is,the higher the risk of residents’ morbidity will be(OR=1.01,P < 0.001). Population density, differences in education and income, economic activities, housing infrastructure and social services have a statistically significant effect on the 4-week prevalence rate In urban communities, the risk of disease of residents increases by 1 percentage point with each increase of 1 index level of community urbanization index. In rural communities, the impact of community urbanization index was not significant(P=0.207>0.05). Discussion:Community urbanization stimulates the residents’ medical service needs, but the urbanization of environmental health dimension reduces the residents’ medical service needs in China. We should fully consider the impact of urbanization and formulate more precise intervention measures. |
