Abstract:Objective：To apply the discharge preparation service to the patients undergoing day operation of gastrointestinal polyp，reduce the occurrence of postoperative complications and readmission. Methods：From June to December 2019，200 patients who were hospitalized in the department of gastrointestinal medicine in our hospital for day operation of gastrointestinal polyps were conveniently selected and randomly divided into experimental group and control group by using Excel random grouping method，100 cases in each group. The control group received the routine nursing care，and the experimental group received the discharge preparation service. Results：The anxiety score，postoperative pain，bleeding and readmission rate of patients in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group，and the discharge preparation and satisfaction were higher than those in the control group，the difference was statistically significant（P < 0.05）；there was no statistical difference between the two groups about the activities of daily life（P > 0.05）. Conclusion：The discharge preparation service can relieve the anxiety，improve the discharge preparation，reduce the incidence of complications and readmission，reduce the economic burden and improve the satisfaction of patients.
