Abstract:Objective：Through retrospective statistical analysis of medical safety adverse events reported by our hospital in 2019，improvement measures were proposed to improve medical quality management. Methods：Using PDCA cycle management tools，the status quo of 417 medical safety adverse events reported by various departments of our hospital through OA information platform from January to December 2019 were investigated and the causes were analyzed. Results：The medical safety adverse events reported by our hospital were mainly medical and nursing events，accounting for 93.52% in total. The grade of adverse events was mainly levelⅢ，320 cases，accounting for 76.74%. The top ten causes of adverse events accounted for a total of 85.13%. The ratio of the number of safety adverse events reported to the number of beds was above 20% in the top ten departments，and there were 8 sub-standard departments with a ratio of less than 10%. Conclusion：The improvement of medical safety and quality requires not only the further implementation of regulations，but also the strengthening of administrative functions.
