Abstract:Purpose：Retrospective analysis on the basic information，admission procedures and infection control of inpatient in stomatological department of Jiangsu province hospital provides reference for oral clinical diagnosis and treatment during the outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019（COVID-19）. Methods：The basic data were collected by stomatological department of Jiangsu province hospital from January 22，2020 to March5，2020. The investigation was analyzed statistically according to patients’information，clinical diagnosis，treatment plan and laboratory examination to discuss the admission and treatment process and infection prevention and control measures of oral and maxillofacial surgery patients during the epidemic. Results：A total of 24 patients aged form 7 to 77years were admitted during the prevalence，including 13males and 11 females. There were 3 cases of oral and maxillofacial multi-gap infections，4 cases of oral maxillofacial fractures，8 cases of malignant tumors，7 cases of oral malignant tumors after operation，and 2 other cases. Of these，17 studies selected after surgical treatment recovered well and remaining studies werereceived postoperative chemotherapy. None of the hospitalized and discharged patients were infected with COVID-19. Conclusions：The diagnosis and treatments of inpatients whether emergency or limited situation ought to keep the process carefully in the period of outbreak. The criteria of admission and preoperative preparation must be controlled strictly before hospitalization，optimize treatment plan after admission，standardize preoperative preparation. The surgical procedures require shortening the operation times and reducing bleeding during the operation. Patients are closely monitored and managed after operation. Oral and maxillofacial surgery is launched scientific and orderly base on precise epidemic prevention and controlto reduce the risk of COVID-19 infection as much as possible.
