Abstract:Objective：To explore the effect and value of rapid rehabilitation concept in total hip arthroplasty. Methods：In this paper，618 patients undergoing total hip arthroplasty in an orthopedic department of a medical institution were selected，and 317 patients who were included in the rapid recovery path were chosen as the study group，while 301 patients who had not implemented the rapid recovery path were used as the control group. The differences in hospitalization days，hospitalization costs other than consumables，prognosis，satisfaction，and incidence of complications were compared between the two groups. Results：Rapid recovery was significantly better than the control group in reducing the number of hospital stays，reducing hospitalization costs，improving prognosis and patient satisfaction，with a significant difference（p < 0.05）. The incidence of complications in the study group was lower than that in the control group，but the difference was not statistically significant. Conclusion：The implementation of the concept of rapid rehabilitation can achieve the purposes of shortening the length of hospital stay，reducing the cost of hospitalization，improving the prognosis and patient satisfaction，and reducing the incidence of complications. The overall application value is high which is worth promoting.
