Abstract:Objective：To explore the role of setting up a centralized command in response to the corona virus disease 2019（COVID-19） outbreak for designated hospital with multi-districts. Methods：The centralized command headquarters for the epidemic situation was under the direct leadership and unified command by the dean . Moreover，the management of daily list，morning and evening shifts，and 24-hour without rest was adopted，and various resources were assembled，the channel of doctor，nurse，medicine，technology，and management was dredged to greatly exerting the capability of cooperative engagement between the hospital districts. Results：Among the one month of establishment，the command sorted out 39 processes，formulated 59 rules and regulations，and resolved 72 various issues. Additionally，fever clinics received a total of 3，701 patients and 183 cases had received fever medical observations，including 19 confirmed cases，the discharge rate reached 100%. Fortunately，the goal of ‘no missed diagnosis，zero death of patients，zero cross-infection in hospital，and zero infection of medical staff’ was achieved in stages. Conclusion：The establishment of the centralized command was important to ensure the successful diagnosis and treatment of COVID-19，and also provided the reference for responding to public health emergency in the future.
