Abstract:Objective：To explore how to improve the operation and development of the department by analyzing the operation of the tumor radiotherapy department of a certain Grade-A Tertiary Hospital. Methods：The data of profit and loss，workload and operation efficiency were analyzed comprehensively to find the problems in the departments，to explore the development strategy of the departments and to formulate appropriate improvement measures. Results：The profit and loss analysis found that the tumor radiotherapy department was a significant department. The profit and loss was increased 3.16% in 2019，and the income of medical service accounted was increased 19.2%. The outpatient amount，number of patients treated at day radiotherapy and chemotherapy center，discharged，bed utilization were increased which compared to the same period last year. The average hospitalization day was reduced by 0.1 days compared with the same period last year. Conclusion：Through the comprehensive analysis of the operational data，the problems existing in the operation of the departments can be found in time，and the optimal allocation of the resources of the departments is facilitated，the benign development of the departments is promoted，meanwhile the fine operation management of the departments is realized.
