Abstract:Objective：To summarizes the practice and experience of discipline construction，which would provide reference for high-quality development of discipline construction in large general hospital. Methods：Since 2015，a number of management measures have been employed in discipline construction，which includes strategic goal setting，rules and regulation simprovement，talents echelon training，assessment of target responsibility system and cultural construction.In order to innovate various management measures and adjust the management mechanism. Results：Relevant regulations and measures are more systematic and scientific.The comprehensive capabilities and level of medical services are continuously improved. According to the Hospital Rank in 2018，Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital ranked 39，up 20 from the same period last year，which was issued by the Hospital Management Institute，Fudan University. Conclusions：Discipline construction is one of the indispensable factors to the sustainable development of the general hospital. Managers should take the needs of hospital development into consideration，develop comprehensive measures（Objective，Rules，Training，Check，Culture）and continue to improve.
