Abstract:Objective：To compare the assessment tools of patients safety culture（PSC）from home and abroad as a reference，and to put forward some suggestions for developing the assessment tools of the elderly PSC in geriatric medical care institutions and improving the services quality in the geriatric medical care. Methods：The literatures related to assessment tools of patient safety culture at home and abroad in recent ten years were retrieved，and the contents，dimensions，objects and reliability and validity tests of each scale were analyzed and compared. Results：The main assessment tools of PSC developed in various countries were quantitative scales，which presented with their own characteristics in the main content，applicable objects，assessment dimensions，item quantity，filling method，reliability and validity. Conclusions：Measurement of PSC can monitor the patients’ safety data and improve the services quality of medical institutions. Foreign advanced PSC assessment tools could be used for reference，and the patients’ safety problems in geriatric medical care institutions need to be addressed.
