Abstract:Objective：To assess the effects of SPD supply chain management system for medical consumables introduced to solve the problems of inefficient and high costs in hospital medical consumables management. Methods：This paper expounded the system from the aspects such as management concept，physical model and operation process，and analyzed the differences between SPD management mode and traditional management mode. The advantages and application conditions of SPD model were also analyzed. Results：This system was supported by information integration，which realized the whole process supervision of medical consumables procurement，acceptance，distribution，use，inventory，fund settlement，etc. It not only standardized the behavior of medical staff in using consumables，but also saved the cost. Conclusions：The use of SPD supply chain management system for medical consumables not only enables our hospital to realize the integrated management of materials logistics processes，but also has important value in reducing the cost，improving the quality of materials management and speeding up the turnover efficiency of consumables and so on.
