Abstract:Objective：To analyze the epidemiological characteristics of hand-foot-mouth disease（HFMD）in Rudong Shuangdian from 2016 to 2017，and to explore the prevention and control measures. Methods：The epidemiological characteristics of HFMD in Rudong Shuangdian during 2016-2017 were investigated and analyzed，and the prevention and control measures were proposed. The prevention and control results were observed. Results：In 2016，the morbidity of HFMD in this region was 0.91%，with 3 severe cases treated for 2.4 ± 1.3 d；The hospitalization rate was 0.26%；The disease awareness was 6.7 ± 1.9 points；The standard epidemic alert rate was 83.3%；The effective follow-up rate was 80.5%；The quality assessment score was 7.8 ± 1.1 points. In 2017，the morbidity was 0.43%，with 1 case of severe disease；The visiting time was 1.5 ± 0.7 d；The hospitalization rate was 0.12%；The disease awareness was 8.1 ± 0.8；The standard epidemic reporting rate was 97.1%；The effective follow-up rate was 94.3%；The quality assessment score was 9.2 ± 0.5. There were significant differences between the two annual indicators（P < 0.05）. Conclusion：The epidemic situation of HFMD in this region is locally clustered. After comprehensive scientific prevention and control measures，the awareness and compliance of villagers for disease prevention and control are significantly improved，and the incidence of HFMD is reduced.
