Abstract:Objective：To analyze the cognition status of hierarchical medical system in the medical staffs in Kunshan city，and to provide evidence for further improvement of hierarchical medical system. Methods：Questionnaire survey was conducted among the medical staffs of the secondary grade hospitals and community health service center in Kunshan city by stratified cluster random sampling method. Results：There were no significant differences in the cognition degree，approval，feasibility of hierarchical medical system and the ability in solving difficult medical problems byhierarchical medical and number of referral patients between the staffs in the hospital and those in community health service center（P > 0.05）. While there were significant differences in the cognition of appointment experts in the hospitals，experts entering the community，and medical staffs’ income drop，talent loss and low level of community doctors（P < 0.05）. Conclusions：Since the implementation of hierarchical medical system in Kunshan City，there are obvious differences in the perception of hierarchical medical system between the relevant personnel of hospitals and community institutions. Therefore，it is important to further strengthen the propaganda of hierarchical medical system in order to effectively promote the implementation of hierarchical medical system.
