Abstract:Objective：An internal quality system audit is carried out to achieve self-supervision and self-improvement in our hospital. Methods：We draw up our plan of audit，train our internal auditors and finally compiled audit schedules. In the whole process，we gain access to sources of information，communicate with relevant people and audit on the spot. As for those unqualified projects，we will put right and set up precautions. A follow-up and further verification will be in place，and closing down certain projects for the time being is necessary. Results： It turns out that patients’ satisfaction has gone up considerably，from 89% to 95%. The quality of all projects involved has met the standards through the continuous improvement of the quality system. Conclusion： The establishment of a well-trained team of internal auditors and realistic audit schedules lays a solid foundation for a smooth progress of internal quality audit. An appropriate control over the audit process and effective corrective action in the case of poor-quality projects is a guarantee for sustainable development of quality.
